Who We Are

We are an electrifying music festival held in the heart of our craft brewery, where community vibes blend seamlessly with epic beats, creating a fun, friendly, safe, and inclusive celebration in Victoria, BC.

What you need to know

  • Our festival occurs rain or shine!

  • Festival hours are roughly 2pm-11pm each day

  • We are a 19+ venue

  • We do not allow re-entry

  • All festival-goers and their property are subject to search upon entry

  • Times and lineups are subject to change

  • Two pieces of ID (one government-issued) must be presented to gain entry

Safety

We value the safety of all festival-goers, performers, and staff.

At Phillips Brewing, we treat our customers like house guests and our colleagues like friends. Phillips Brewing is committed to fostering a safe and enjoyable space for all. You and your property may be subject to inspection upon entry to the venue and the following may cause you to be refused entry:

  • Impairment related to alcohol or drug consumption

  • Possession of alcohol, drugs or items deemed to be weapons

  • Drugs or drug paraphernalia

  • Abusive behavior or language

Do Bring

  • Empty Water Bottles (Glass protected with Silicon, Metal, or Plastic)

  • Backpacks, Purses, Duffels and Totes under 20L

  • Personal Cameras including DSLRs with a Basic Kit Lens and built-in flash/microphone (for non-disruptive personal use)

  • Poster Board Size Signs.  We maintain the right to review all signs at entry before being displayed.  Note that offensive statements are not permitted, and disruptive use will be stopped.

  • Personal Umbrellas (under 26")

  • Gum / Mints

  • Hand Sanitizer

  • Hats

  • Makeup

  • Parasols

  • Plastic Water Misters (Personal size ONLY, Empty)

  • Portable Phone Chargers

  • Pro Video, Lighting, Flash and Audio Recording Equipment (Without prior Media Pass Application/Approval)

  • Juggling, Spinning or Tossed Dance Items

  • Roller Shoes, Skates, Skateboards

  • One Wheel or Rolling Hoverboards

  • All Drones including Mini, Micro and Nano sizes.

  • Sports Equipment, Recreational Ball or Throwing Items.

  • Folding Chairs, Stadium Chairs, Low Profile Seats

  • Sun Shade Pop Up Screens/Tents

  • Outside food or beverage

  • Outside Alcohol, Recreational and Illegal Drugs

  • Food or Beverage Containers (Including Coolers, Cans, Bottles, and/or Thermoses)

  • Air Horns or any Air-Assisted Noisemaker

  • Laser Pointers or Pens

  • Tri-Pods, Mono-Pods, Poles or sticks (Including Selfie-Sticks)

  • Weapons of Any Kind.

  • Offensive Clothing Statements.

  • Gang Affiliation Wear of any kind, Cuts, Patches, Colours and Support Apparel

  • Any other items deemed unacceptable by the Security staff.

FAQs

  • Tickets are available online through Showpass click here. Please beware of fraudulent ticket sellers and purchase from 3rd party websites at your own risk.

  • Yes! Our schedule will be posted ahead of the festival here on our website and @phillips.backyard on Instagram.

  • We highly recommend coming in early to take in the most music possible!

    The busiest time at our gate is typically between 4:30pm-6pm.

  • All sales are final, and refunds or exchanges are not permitted, including cancellation by headlining and/or supporting act(s). Refunds will only be issued if a show is canceled entirely. Any refund issued under these circumstances will be subject to a 5% processing fee. Weekend passes are not transferable once redeemed. All pass types are non-sharable and can only be used by a single person.

  • Every festival-goer needs their own pass to attend events in Phillips Backyard.

  • All shows in the Phillips Backyard are 19+. All children must be 19+.

    Two pieces of ID (one government-issued) must be presented to gain entry.

  • A self-lock expanded bike area will be available. Remember to ride safe!

  • Sorry, no in and outs!

  • Drink tokens are available for purchase inside the festival with cash, debit or credit. Food Vendors will be accepting debit and credit.

  • • Step-free access from an accessible entrance to the stage and vendor areas

    • Accredited service dogs are permitted

    • Accessible washrooms at the stage viewing area and the vendor area

    • Accessible priority seating (restricted stage view)

  • We are happy to offer a wide selection of beverages. Beer, non-alc beer, mocktails as well as vodka and gin canned cocktails will be available.

  • YES! Volunteers are essential to make any festival run and a great way to be a part of the Phillips Backyard Community! Volunteers who complete a four-hour shift will gain entry to one evening at Phillips Backyard. You can apply to work multiple shifts to attend multiple days!   • Only service dogs are permitted within Phillips Backyard. If you have any questions about festival accessibility, please email info@phillipsbeer.com.

  • We offer urinals, single stalls, and accessible washrooms- our team has even installed flushable toilets and sinks!

  • They are not- if you have dietary concerns please reach out to info@phillipsbeer.com.

    Reusable water bottles are encouraged in the Phillips Backyard (please no glass!) and water refilling stations are plentiful.

  • Please bring your empty water bottles to our festival- water-filling stations are available onsite. Note that for safety, glass water bottles are not permitted.

  • We’re stoked to offer a selection of awesome local food trucks! Vegan, Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available. We will be sharing our food truck lineup in the Festival Features section of our website as well as @phillips.backyard on Instagram.

Code of Conduct

At Phillips Brewing, we treat our customers like house guests and our colleagues like friends. Phillips Brewing is committed to fostering a safe and enjoyable space for all.

By entering or working in our brewery, Tasting Room, Beer Shop, Showcase Gallery, and Backyard, you agree to abide by the following:

Bullying, harassment, or discrimination based on religion, ability, race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or other aspects of a person’s identity will not be tolerated and will be addressed. This could look like but is not limited to; Non-consensual touching, racist/homophobic jokes, or offensive gestures.

General disrespect to staff, customers, guests, suppliers, and partners is deemed unacceptable conduct.

If you are feeling unsafe or are a witness to unacceptable behavior, please let a staff member know and we will work discreetly with you to address the behavior. You may also report any incidents by emailing conduct@phillipsbeer.com. Phillips Brewing reserves the right to take the immediate and necessary actions to protect the safety of others, including removing individuals who do not comply.

Festival Site Map

Check out the festival site. We’ll have food trucks as well as water bottle refilling stations, so please plan ahead and pack a reusable water bottle (it must be empty upon entry). Just as a reminder there are no ins/outs permitted, once you are inside you cannot leave the event and return. Please plan accordingly.
